Welcome to Lavender Ridge Farms
Lavender, herbs, zinnias and vegetables are all here for the picking at Lavender Ridge Farms seasonally. The lavender starts to bloom around mid May and continues through early July and sometimes through mid July. You can cut fresh lavender from the field beginning with our Lavender Festival which is always on Memorial Day weekend. Our fall garden of vegetables and zinnias will be available for picking around October 1st.
Originally a strawberry & melon farm in the 1920’s & 1930’s, Lavender Ridge Farms opened in 2006 as a lavender, cut-flower, and herb farm. The land here has been in our family for over 150 years and will be home sweet home for many years to come.
We are located just 8 miles east of Gainesville, Texas and just one hour from the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. See our Map page for more detailed directions.
The farm currently has 2 acres of lavender planted and more lavender, new herbs, scented geraniums and cut-flowers are being added all the time.
A variety of herbs, perennials, annuals, and natives plants, handmade herbal soaps and lavender products are available in and around the Gift Shop.
Make plans to join us in our café for a delightful lavender lunch. A screened in patio nestled among the tall shady oaks and overlooking the lavender field makes a perfect setting to enjoy our tasty lavender treats. Be sure to watch the hummingbirds as they drink from the feeders surrounding the café.
Don't forget that children love to get out in the fresh air and thoroughly enjoy and learn from active participation in the farm experience!
